K9 University Agility Training

Agility is one of the most enjoyable classes you and your furry friend could attend. This class will teach you and your dog to trust each other while performing a number of difficult tasks. It is somewhat physically challenging for both the dog and the handler, but a blast for both to do. Agility training IS what a Trainer-Dog team strives to perfect.

Agility classes range between 4 to 6 weeks long. Agility-1 (our entry level designed for fun), through Agility-3 designed to prepare you and your buddy for Agility competition. All classes require you come play with us one day per week, one hour per session.

You and your dog will learn to perform tasks that are typically reserved for elite service dogs. These tasks include obstacles such as general climbing, ladder climbing, jumps, ramps, tunnels, water obstacles, and a host of other surprise obstacles (you'll

need to take the class to find out ---- you won't be disappointed).

In addition, to help out with weekly homework assignments, our Agility training field is available to all agility students to practice when not in use.

All Agility graduates are regularly invited to attend scheduled competition events sponsored by out-of-state training institutions and local entities, including your local K9 University(R).  It is not required for graduates to attend these events, it is simply an honor to be invited to them (and it's fun too).

In addition, all graduates are also given the opportunity to enroll in the "K9 University Agility Club."  Membership in the Agility Club allows owner-dog teams to hone-in on skills learned, and prepare for competition events. Please call for more information on our "K9 University Agility Club."

Classes start approximately every 6 to 8 weeks.  Review our latest schedule and rates, and fill out our Training Sign-Up form. We will confirm your class through e-mail or phone call within 48 hours.   Please call us (405-231-4335) if you have special questions not listed.

Prerequisite: K9 University instructor review of team skills.  Current vaccinations.
