Out of State Travel | Shipping Dogs | Health Certificate for Dogs

Out of State Clients Please Read

. . If you are not located in Oklahoma and will be using our training or behavioral services, or are purchasing a dog from us, it is important that you be informed about very important travel and animal care.

We ship dogs across the US and abroad often and ONLY use Continental Airlines as our preferred carrier. They have an animal shipping division that is second to none, and has never failed us in providing the proper care and travel arrangements for our pack.

It is a Federal and State requirement that a Health Certificate be generated by a licensed Veterinarian prior to shipping a dog across state lines, and that it be dated less than 10 days prior to the travel date. You will need to visit your vet who will need to ensure that the dog is healthy, that all shots be up to date, and that he/she fill out the correct regulatory paperwork for Oklahoma (USA).

If traveling abroad, these forms and procedure may be more involved, and your Veterinarian will know how to research it, and get the dog properly examined to meet the requirements. This procedure is not expensive, but it is a requirement.

Call Continental Airlines ahead of time to schedule the dog's flight, and ask for additional last minute instructions.

If you're driving your dog across state lines instead of flying, you will also be required to have a health certificate to comply with Federal and Oklahoma law. Please mention to your veterinarian that you will be driving your dog instead. A qualified veterinarian will know your legal travel requirements.
